Digital Risk Management in 3 Dimensions - Data, Processes and Organizations
Digital Risk Management in 3 Dimensions - Data, Processes and Organizations | Digital transformations are needed for businesses to stay competitive. However, one big impediment to successful transformations is securing these new paradigm shifts - be it hybrid cloud, IoT or SD-WAN. Protecting sensitive data is still a requirement whether workloads are running in the public cloud, or companies are leveraging IoT devices or allowing their branch offices to directly connect to the Internet. There are easy and cost-effective ways to secure these transformations and still protect data, without adding complexity to networks and overburdening the cybersecurity staff.

Incident Response & Truth In Advertising
The internet has fundamentally changed the relationship between brands and consumers. The consumer has access to more information than ever before, and this shift in power has broad implications for the way in which brands talk to the market, especially in times of crisis or reputation risk. There are two non-negotiable rules for incident response—tell the truth and take responsibility. Being prepared (and proactive) is key to successfully navigating an always-on communications culture—in good times and in bad.  In this session, we’ll cover how to operationalize the truth across your business before a crisis; the right time to think about reputation management; and how to communicate to your customers and the broader market in the case of an incident.

Leveraging ML and AI for Security Compliance
We are currently witnessing the many changes that AI & ML can bring to a variety of industries. In particular, it is exciting to note the growth of AI & ML in the risk, security compliance, and threat and vulnerability management space. This rapidly evolving industry is now exploring the use of AI & MLbased products to enhance and transform security compliance.
One huge advantage of using ML is that it makes data labeling imperative, which thereby delivers several benefits to an organization. Automating the labeling of data elements leads to the exploration of opportunities to use ML. This can increase our understanding of the full landscape of an organization’s environment and prepare for potentially bigger usage in the future.
Using AI & ML, it is possible to automate actions for patterns that can be recognized and predictable events, which can lead to enhanced alert management. Beyond this, AI & ML can play a significant role in reducing both false positives and the noise of the superfluous or erroneous findings. This is beneficial as it allows professionals to focus on what is actually important for their organization to address.
Securing applications with AI & ML and ensuring their compliance comes with its own challenges. This includes dealing with legacy systems, old tools and frameworks, and/or stakeholders who may not completely understand security issues prevalent in current systems. There are also security risks to which these ML systems are susceptible, such as tampering with the data model or feeding garbage data to the ML model. Powerful applications that use AI, ML and deep learning to enhance their performance face the imperative challenges of encompassing security and compliance, which requires deep knowledge of the technical environment and all that it supports.

Keynote Presentation: The Disruption Mindset - Leading to Drive Disruptive Growth
Many companies make “disruption” their goal. They believe if they just develop the right innovation, they will disrupt their markets forever and drive the kind of growth worthy of a magazine cover story. But that’s not how disruption works. Disruption doesn’t create growth; growth creates disruption. While growth is always hard, disruptive growth is exponentially harder. It requires companies to make tough decisions in the face of daunting uncertainties: Should we bet our company’s future on the next-generation customer or today’s reliable one? Should we abandon our current business model for an entirely new one? Disruption demands bold leadership and, often, massive cultural transformation. To be on the right side of that disruption requires having a growth strategy that aligns the entire organization, as well as the leadership and culture to execute that strategy.

Incident Response Tabletop Exercise
You must pre-register. Space is limited and first come first serve. Register here: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/F5W3YY3

We know it’s not an if, but when, your organization will be put to the test in the wake of a cybersecurity incident. This interactive session will immerse you in a firestorm of an incident response and pressure test your ability to think critically and swiftly to make the right decisions based on the mission. This is a departure from your traditional paper-based table-top exercises, where participants act like robots following the script of a playbook. Instead attendees will be assigned roles and responsibilities in association with the scenario being simulated and are expected to actively participate and get into “character”.  Participants will face injections throughout the scenario that test their knowledge of industry best practice (regardless of their role). The output will be an opportunity to learn from peer practitioners and obtain applicable tools and techniques to apply in your organization.
